Hi, I’m Anni Shelton, the founder of KIDZ Art Expression.
I started KIDZ Art Expression because I believe children are naturally creative — and sometimes the best thing we can do is simply give them the freedom to create. That’s what process art is all about.
Instead of giving every child the same project and showing them exactly how it should look, I provide a variety of materials, colors, tools, textures, and opportunities to explore. Then I let the children take the lead. They decide what to do, how to do it, and when they’re finished.
There may be paint on the paper, paint on the table, colors mixed together that weren’t supposed to be mixed, or something completely different from what anyone expected! And that’s okay. Actually, that’s the beauty of it.

At KIDZ Art Expression, there is no perfect picture to copy and no “wrong” way to create. We celebrate each child’s ideas and encourage them to experiment, make choices, try something different, and discover what happens.
Because the finished artwork isn’t really the most important part. The PROCESS is. When children are given the freedom to CREATE, they are doing much more than Arts & Crafts. They are building confidence, independence, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the courage to trust their own ideas.
For years, I’ve had the joy of watching children discover that their ideas are worth exploring and that their creations don’t have to look like anyone else’s.

WHAT IS PROCESS ART?
Age-appropriate, hands-on art programs designed specifically for preschool and pre-K children. Each class supports creativity, confidence, independence, fine motor development, and problem solving through open-ended exploration.
Children are encouraged to explore, experiment, get messy, and enjoy the creative process.
Smocks ARE provided because artists get messy sometimes :)
PRICING

$125 per 6-week session.

Each session includes 6 weeks of creative, hands-on process art.

1 hour per class, for a total of 6 hours of creative exploration!
Accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Check or Venmo.

Cash and Checks made payable to KIDZ Art Expression may be placed in KIDZ Art's lockbox in the corner of office window at Joy Center.
